Zatzy International Meeting

Good Morning / Guten Morgan / God Morgon / Bunã Dimineata / Bom dia / Jó reggelt .. etc

It was suggested to me yesterday by Marcel (waanspeed), that we could try and organize a zatzy meeting for the International section of this website somewhere in Europe.

We all post and chat on here, but it would be real honest fun to have a mad meeting somewhere and maybe do something good (*food / drink / racing etc)

There are a few spots which make sense for a meeting. Marcels suggestions were...

1.) Clearly, the ring. That would be great to meet at the ring in summer. And its quite the same distance for people from England, Hungary, Sweden....

2.) Stockholm! The center of streetracing and home of zatzy.com.

3.) England, "Isle of man"?!

Or maybe another country..

Do you have any suggestions, France, Belgium etc etc?

I am willing to start to organize something for next year if it has enough interest, so if you have any ideas, or dates you can make or not make .. including where you are willing to drive/fly to.

It will only work if people are keen to meet up :)

What do you think? Sugestions?

definatly keen...however i think that concrte planning is a bit too early since there are questions like "will the car be ready" "do I have the money?" etc...but yeah definatly keen...if it turns out to be stockholm I could get you all real cheap accomodation about 70km away from it (out in the middle of the woods :P)...

hehe, nah but we own an old childrens camp...so we've got 3 houses withh 11 rooms in each to spare ;)

Isle of Man is a no-no - its too damn expensive. plus for anyone coming from mainland europe its 2 ferries.

Stockholm is always nice. i Love it there

Ring is a possibility, but i tried that one already this year and i was the only person that turned up....

Well I'm planning on going to Stockholm next year anyway although i will be flying i reckon..

I think the idea is to understand how many people are interested before coming up with any plans.

I'd be interested in anything before 13th July 08.

Mainland Europe and ze summer are a must IMO.

Yes you are damn right man! I, to be honest, do prefer Stockholm too.

I think it is NOT too early to say if anyone will come in general or not. And the theme is not if any car is ready.. You won`t drive alone, won`t you?! And if the exacz date is fix, let me say three month before, thsat should be enough time for everyone to arrange everything.

I think having some fun, good food and drinking should be as important as doing a spin through Stckh! I would like to see the spots i only know from the dvd`s yet...

im not sure if i will make the ring next year to be blunt. aint got much holiday left at work since im gonna be in scandinavia for most of January!!!

Okay well it seems from the posts so far that Stockholm would be the best idea (at least so far)

Maybe then if we did that, some of the Swedish members would meet us?

you can get cheap flights from London Stanstead to Sthlm Skavsta (NYO for like £30 then its a train or bus from Nyköping which is like an hour from the city.

Then if you Hostel it when you get there its possible to make it real cheap for the weekend.http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldet...Stockholm-1191 this is

the one i fancy as its on the water looking at Lake Mälaren, and its a good price.

i could probably manage a weekend in may ? going out on the friday and coming back sunday

May is a wonderful time in stockholm. Springtime and all the girls start taking of there clothes (Miniskirts etc).

If zatzy.com doesnt fix a meeting for you guys in sthlm so can i gladly arange something.

I promise you that a lot of people would like to meet our international friends! :D

Stockholm in may sounds good for me too!
I´m not sure yet if i will fly in by plane or the 911...?!

It would be great if some of the swedish guys would also be there and support this...

Now some of the others here have to show there intention...

I live close to Skavsta airport so if n e one need a lift and like i said earlier a place to stay =)

It would be excellent if we could time it with some car event in may too?

Yes you`re right man concerning the car event, that would be cool! and if you got room to stay - way cooler!!!

got room, but like i said, its like 1h15 drive to sthlm..

Short translation: Wrote that we were planning an "International Zatzy meet", asked about events in may, said that i could fix a place to stay and if there is anybody far away from sthlm can sort it out for them too..

then I propsed organising a proper Zatzy meet, hoping to get some good planners active and we can sort something a bit biggish in general, (maybe we could find a big parking to borrow and have a proper Zatzy meet? Sweden is a part of "international" too! maybe rent a plce to party afterwards?)

Could use this as a real oppertunity to expand our international section here? just shoot a film of the fun, put it up on youtube etc and get this section on the move =)
