Gumball 2007

Gumball 2007 rally starts this Sunday, Pall Mall.
Does anyone know where/which garage the cars will be standing in before the start ?

It must be the same garage as last year i have read somewhere, but i don't know witch garage...
We will try to spot them on there way to Amsterdam.

We went to have a look last Sunday, and did see a lot of them.
Most we even did see 2 times ! (We did take a shortcut offcourse ;)
First time, we watched on a bridge above the highway in Belgium. Most of the drivers where doing the legal speed. Some of them (11) where pulled over just behind us....
Than we left, and drive to the dutch/german border. Some people where allready standing there for two houres, but didn't see one car. A half our later they came again !
They came from a small road on the german highway, and the sound...... just amazing (sure when they where in a group of 6 cars !!! )

So it was great to watch them.

"Issued by Maximillion Cooper on behalf of The Gumball 3000 Rally - 22.30 CET / 03 May 2007

Following our earlier release reporting yesterday’s accident - As a sign of respect we have decided that this year’s Gumball 3000 Rally will not travel any further and will end in Bratislava this evening, May 3rd 2007.

As the organisers of the rally we feel that it should be stopped as a mark of respect to Vladimir Cepulyoski who died today after an accident involving one the participating drivers.

We are very saddened by what has happened and feel that it would be wrong to continue. On behalf of Gumball 3000, we once again extend our deepest sympathies to his family and we are doing everything we can for them.

This is the first time anything like this has happened in 9 years of travelling through over 40 countries with 1000’s of drivers and it is with deep regret that I make this announcement.

I think it's a good thing they stopped.
I like driving fast, but if you hit someone, at least you stop !

They stopped.
What then happend....there are different stories on the web.
Better wait to judge the guys until we have all the info.
