We will be travelling up the M6 Northbound to Junction 16 and getting
onto the A500, to cut a long story short we will then make our way to
the A55 and along the top of North Wales. We will then be meeting our
Welsh tourguide Johnathan at Bangor serivces who will take us 20 miles
over the bridge and into the Isle of Anglesey for some bloody good
views, roads and to a local pub for a spot to eat and a chat.
From here, I will take lead responsibilites once again and lead you
back down through mid-wales, down the A5 past Snowdonia, these are home
to some of the best roads in Britain, and I wont be hanging around to
wait for slow people, bearing in mind im driving a 1.6 Diesel Ford
Focus, so if I lose you, you have no excuses, unless of course you are
driving a robin reliant that wont start.
You will soon realise upon driving these roads that the scenery is
breathtaking, and as a result we will be making a stop along the way,
for another chat, before the final leg of the thrash, in which we can
all go our separate ways, I will be heading off towards Shrewsbury and
the M54 through Telford to get home, so BRING YOUR MAPS if you live
elsewhere!!!!
The Focus will also be wearing video cameras to record any antics
anyone gets up to! And to show you Swedes how our roads fair!

Just be sure to have all your papers in order. The guards here are proper wankers. Their usual phrase when they've got nothing on you is "well I could take the car off ye..". I hate the feckers >:(

Well i get pulled a lot here for no insurance (by mistake). We have a database that logs whether people are insured or not and the cops can tell before they pull you. EXCEPT - if you have a motor traders policy which they dont register on the database .. so i have had the 'We can take your car off you', and the simple answer is ' you can most certainly try! :)
Seriously are they that harsh?
We could always get Mr_W and whoever to leave their cars at my house and drive to Holyhead and just come over for some beers for the day on the boat!! :#)

Guards AKA the Irish police. Un-armed thank god :)
They don't have any online system for checking tax/insurance/nct(MOT) so they pull you for checks. If they feel that the exhaust is too loud, the lights are wrong or the windows tinted they'll give you the whole "blah blah we'll impound the car" story. It all stems from that passing the NCT does not make a car road legal. There's one law for what you must do to pass the NCT and another one for what is legal on a car or not.
It's very, very stupid as you as a citizen have no way of knowing if you're in the wrong or not since no official test will tell you so.
Even though Sweden has a strict test it's at least fair. Pass it and you know the car is sound.
Then again, you can legally modify the car as you wish here as long as you inform your insurer, 'spose it's the same way in the UK?
