How "popular" is Saab and Volvo in your country?

yes as topic, im just curious about what people say and think in your country about our 2 swedish brands*??

Of course you should wright what country your from, that goes without saying ;)

In the US for example Volvo is a pretty respected brand*

I live in the UK

Volvo and Saab have a good brand reputation here i think. They both build solid cars, and they are as common here as anything else we have on the roads. I have owned both Volvo & Saab cars, and although i would have either again, my favourite is Saab. They are both well known for being the only cars here driving around with their lights on during the day time :)

The UK's Police force seemed to like the old 850 T5-R when it was out, and now use the V70 i think.

In Holland Saab and Volvo are wel respected and among the topbrands like BMW and Mercedes.
I think if you buy a Saab or Volvo in Holland you go for safety and security most people bye them as a family car.
You wo'nt find many tuned or modded Volvo's or Saabs at shows or on the road in Holland.

Volvo V70 is the most sold new car in sweden, and i think saab 95 isnt that far behind.

Here in belgium Saab and volvo are decent cars as wel the new one's .. the old volvo's where deathtraps lol =)

i don't like volvo or saab it's just not my kind of car ..

also people don't buy saab so much here in belgium they would rather go for volvo the new jeep or something ..

There both known as good brands here in the US but no one modifies them here. I would really love to get into building a 740 Tic and make some serious power but no one knows how!! I think the fastest volvo I have ever heard of from the states made 300whp...

thats not alot in sweden!!!!

check aroudn the site using advanced search in the 'Projekt' Section!

theres some immense power 740s and 240s, 850s etc!

also, look out for a video called - Brutal 740 ;)

The may not be the most modified cars here in the states but that doesn't mean that we dont have feelings!!! :) Check out a couple US Volvo websites and I think you will see that the Volvo community here in the states is going strong.

:oh yea, people just drive most of the Swedish cars in this country. Very few (like us) are tuning them.

We've got some loyal saab and volvo owners here too. In fact my friend works at a volvo dealer and says a certain family has come in a couple times to purchase their volvos from there. But he also tells me taht the new volvos are made with crap quality, yeah its the safest car on the plent, but how good is it if it craps out on you, he was telling me that they got massive recalls on them. As far as an aftermarket scene/following, I dont see anything like that around here so it must be very small.
