As i'm sure most of you are aware that sadly, last year, the rally driver Richard Burns lost his battle with cancer.
It was decided, in is honour, to do a charity fun raising run going from lands end to john o'groats. Each section was done by owners from that particular area.
Our area started from Bambry at Prodrive HQ to just north of stoke on trent (about 100 miles ish).
We met at a nearby services for athe run down to Bambry and 40 Subarus turned up. Driving in convoy we arrived at Prodrive to find that in totaly 250+ Subaru's turned up (Prodrive were expecting about 50 cars).
While we were there we had a wander round prodrvies garages and there museum, after two of Richards old rally cars were driven round the industrial etstae, the first was one of his safari cars, bloody hell, how high is the suspension on those?, and the second was his first Subaru Legacy rally car, which was being driven on the day by Richards father.
After the tour round, pics taken and food, the people doing the section convoyed out along the route to head up to the end of the section.
Very impressive sight to see 70 odd scoobs in convoy in a row head up the motorway.
We arrived at the meet point after about an hour and a half and handed over to next group.
All in all it was a tramendous day, so much support and enthusiasm for the event and for Richard was summed up by the smile that spent all day on Richards fahers face.
