Zatzy Rules - In English
These Rules have been kindly translated by Poyan, and represent an exact copy of the main board rules. Please take a minute to read them, and understand them, as they form the basis of how zatzy runs, and will be moderated in the english section.

§1 - Plain subjects. Zatzy have approximately 200 new threads per day.
Not all the users have time to read through everything. To save other peoples time and to make sure the right people reads your thread, write a clear subject that people easily can interpret. It's not enough with just one word as a subject.
§1.1 - Raising threads. - A thread can be elevated when it has fallen away from the first thread-page in that department - if it has a general interest. it is NOT okay to elevate a thread after 4 minutes. Interesting threads does not need to be elevated.
§1.2 - Links to add-pages. We do not allow links to add-pages such as blocket.se just because it has funny line or something else that's amusing. A big part of blocket-adds have something amusing in its content and the forum will overflow with subjects like "check this out!" It is permitted to link an add if the thread-maker has a genuine interest of the product that is for sale (meaning: you are interested in buying the product that is being advertised and have specific questions about it or products like it.)
§2 Attacking/Provoking - personal. - A public forum is the wrong place for it. Settle up through mail, telephone or the drag-strip.
§3 Persecution of minority. - We do not allow any racial discrimination where a minority is being judged. It will lead to an immediate warning and if its a really ugly statement you will get suspended.
§4 Attacking - companies. - Writing that a company is shit will not be tolerated, wether its a sponsor of zatzy or not. Instead, write a summary of how you feel and how your treated, then mail it to the company and tell them about your inlay (post), and welcome them to face your criticism or to officially apologize. You can come back with info of how it all ended, so that if the company backed out they will have a second chance if it was just a one time occurrence.
§5 Posthunting - Users that post alot of meaningless stuff just to increase their ammount of inlays(posts) will not be accepted and it can lead to a warning and if it continues even tho the warning, the account will be suspended.
§6 - Politics - this is a motorforum. - The only politics that is neccesary here are the ones that directly involve cars or racing. Everything else will be removed.
§7 Not liking a post? - Use the "report this post" function. A mail will be sent to assigned moderators who will later judge if the inlay is offensive and will take necessary action.
§8 Have your post been removed or a thread locked? - If a thread is locked, the reason will be stated in the thread. If the reason is not stated read the rules and you will surely find it. Have your post/thread been erased? Read the rules and you will know the reason, if you dont understand why you're always welcome to PM (private message) the Administrators or any moderator to get an answer.
§9 Name in the profile - We demand that you fill out your Surname and at least ONE initial from your last name. Users who have not done this in correct way will be warned. The warning will be removed when the name is stated correctly. You can fill out your name by clicking on the "control-panel" at the bottom of the forum page, from there you click on "Edit profil" where you fill out your name.
The accounts that we find that uses fake names will be deleted immediately.
We are hoping this will lead to a more personal forum in spite of the size.
§10 Are you mistreated? - Zatzy is not a democracy. Zatzy is drifted by a minor leading group including its moderators. Zatzy will never be more or less, it is what you make it. If you think the censorship is faulty you can PM or e-mail someone in the crew. E-mail addresses can be found on www.zatzy.com under the link "contact"
§11 Signatures - The Administrators on zatzy can erase or edit signatures that are considered inappropriate, without any further notice. Repeatedly actions will result in a warning or a ban. Signatures that are too big will be decreased in a size that we think is appropriate.
§12 Rules for avatars - Avatar (picture) of your car. OBS! A picture of YOUR car only is approved. Not owning a car/mc = No avatar!
Abusing this rule will lead to a warning and can lead to a ban from the avatar function. No animated avatars!

Number of posts for an avatar: 50
Advice for avatar:
Your picture can be maximum 100 pixles in width and 50 pixels in height, reduce the size in a picture-editing program. Picture can either be jpg or gif.
To upload an avatar, click on "user cp" on the the top of the list, and choose "edit options", then click on "Change avatar" at the bottom.
You can either link to your picture or upload it.
§13 Concealed advertisement - We do not allow any form of concealed advertisement unless the thread-maker have payed for advertising on zatzy. Neither do we allow advertisement for other communities or forums. Are you running a company and thinking you can get away with concealed advertising because your clever? - Don't even try it, we will only get mad. Are you interested in advertising? §14 - Bootlegging - All discusssion, invite or help bootlegging (sharing, uploading, downloading) of copyrighted material such as TV-series, movies, games, music, programs are strictly forbidden. Carelessness of this rule will lead to a warning and ban. We might have some tolerance regarding documentaries that has been shown and wont be available in any way. (are unsure, PM an administrator before putting out a link).
§15 Spam in the forum - We do not allow any form of spamming under any circumstances whatsoever. Spamming the forum will lead to immediate suspension.
Our definition of spam: Threads which contains the same information as other threads in several parts of the forum. That goes for advertising and regular threads.
§16 Warning system - If you have been warned for something you have written on zatzy and you think its wrong, contact the Moderator or Administrator who has given you the warning. Three warnings equals a ban and you will be suspended from zatzy. We are in general more tolerant of people who have been a member for a while and been good, because everyone can have a bad day. New members that act bad can be banned without any forewarning. The only warning that isn't permanent is the "name warning", meaning you haven filled out your name in the profile (watch §9) this warning will be removed after you filled in your name correctly.
§17 Moped questions
Zatzy is a car related community where the majority have grown away from their moped-interests. Are you interested in mopeds and have questions regarding mopeds, there are specialized forums like this for instance: http://forum.moppenet.com/
§18 Membership - Zatzy is a community.
If you're a member of the forum your a member of Zatzy. Make sure you have an active e-mail address in the database, so that you wont miss out on the member-letter.
Construction of the forum
Search engine/function
Before you ask a question make sure it doesn't exist already. Nobody likes to read the same thing over and over again. Zatzy has been active for a long time and contains a lot of information. You can search at the top of the forum on your right side.
In each forum part there could exist specific rules just for that department. Check at the top of the page of each forum part for the rules before you post anything, just to be sure.
General
To discuss car matters, racing and motor-sport in general.
Notice that there is a separate forum for Events. "General" is the forum part with most threads and posts. It's very important that you write a very clear subject. You should summaries the context in a way that everyone understand what it's about. The context will be of every members interest. Before you state a question you can try to search for threads that has been dealt with before. The search engine works perfectly!
Project
Here you can display your current projects that you're working on. The Project-section of zatzy is one of the most visited parts.
Three simple basis to follow:
1. The subject shall be your username - car
for instance Fredde - Audi s8
2. Whats done to the car from day one.
Background facts, brand, model, engine and so on.
3. What are your plans?
Feel free to attach some picture to make the thread more interesting.
- The pictures can be maximum 800x600 pixels.
- "Project" is for cars only,
not EPA cars, mopeds, trucks, scooters or motorbikes.
PM - Private Messaging
PM is a very usable function if you want to ask a member something that's related to the other users. It works as a quick-message between 2 members.
Use it well.
How to write/remove a post
New thread
Try to spell correct. Don't type 20 question/exclamation marks, one is enough, or else it will be removed. New sentence starts with a Capital letter. Don't write a whole essay for your subject, just be clear and summarize instead of being unclear. Mind how you speak/type.
New Post
Don't write posts like "word", "haha" "i agree!", instead try to get the discussion to move forward. Stick to the subject. Think not only once or twice but three times before you write something.
How to remove a post/thread
Have you made a mistake? Or regret a post? Click on the little button that says edit, its located on your right below your post. You can edit what you have written or remove it completely by checking the "delete" mark.
If these requirements are not fulfilled, threads/posts will disappear without further notice from the moderators.
