Birka Cup

So, I think I get the idea of the Birka Cup (what does Birka stand for?)

I assume its difficult to set a date for this 'event'?! but, does anyone from the UK go to watch this????? or indeed head over to Sweden for some street entertainment??

Flights from the UK to Nykopping - Stockholms NYO airport - around an hour and a bit from the capital are £25 return with Ryan Air! Im going with them next week.

British airways have a terrible service from heathrow to Sthlm airport (which is still just under an hour from the city, an dthe flights cost £150ish return!

birka was an old wiking city, that was located in sthlm, so its natural that our coolest streetracing cup got a wiking name.. :)

the time and date for the races are for teams only, but ofcourse word goes around pretty fast around here... ;)

If you intend to bring your car over to compete with the badest streetcars in sweden you should head over to the official webpage for birka and make your voice heard there..
