August is the Nottinghill Carnival in London Village, so i am not too sure of any car orientated events if thats what you mean mate. The Carnival is a must see though.

Depending on how long you are here working, you have the Japanese Performance Sunday on 24th September.
This in in Reading, but not too far to travel from London.
