well on xmas eve, i caught the car on the garage wall, its a tight garage, and a massive car, and eventually it had to happen.
so im in the process of touching paint in, wetsanding, and machine polishing back, so whilst im at it, i thought i'd do the other couple of bits that needed doing, front bumper corner, wingmirorr, and jsut behined the passenger door.
ive decided now to fully wrap the car for definate, and finally found a scheme to do it. ive priced it up, and as im a qualified wrapper, its so much cheaper for me than getting these bits sorted in paint.
the reason im dojng them is to give a good finish for the vinyl to adhere to.
looks miles off, but with laquer it dries soooooo close to the original colour
now where as most people would leave it like this, ive done 3 coats, left it 24 hours, added the laquer, and it will now be left a week before being wet sanded and machine polished, hence why the paint in the pics is so thick, because it has to be sanded back to the same level as existing paint

done a bit more on the paintwork - applied the 3 layers of paint, and started on the laquer today, will be doing 3 layers of this also, spaced 1 day apart so it hardens properly before i start wetsanding next weekend ready for the machine polishing. you can see how the good the colour match is now the colours dried!

directly after 1st coat laquer, its thick as its gotta fill the scratch, and be sanded back to the same level as existing
found a couple more scratches that will undergo the same treatment, so here is their first layer of paint
now obviously, this wont be perfect at the end of the day, but it will be a damn site better than white scratches!
