just needs a blooming good clean, well not even a really good one, just a decent one! you can see part of the rocker cover where i wiped it with a rag and its come up cleaner!

Hmm 5hp should be easily attainable especially if the previous owner has
looked after the engine as you said.

Just a little to think about, but those engines (bottom end) will take up to 200hp, will
take a turbo easier than something a lot harder and i'm fairly sure you could
drop an RST engine in there too.... hehehe

EDIT: What month was it registered mate? Because 93 was the cut of for not legally having a cat on your car. Depending on what month that was made, you could decat it permenantly without breaking the law.. and it will pass its mot!

Yeah i just checked up and the date is 1st August 1992!
Although its very vague as per all UK law! It depends on whether its a closed loop fuel system or not, and whether the car will actually pass the emissions without the cat fitted. If the O2 sensor is fitted after the cat, then it will probably just flip into limp home mode and not run too well.. if its fitted before the cat, the chances are it will run perfectly fine without the cat..

Sub, amp and components going in at the weekend
Pioneer CD player coming out (going into the smart, and the smarts) kenwood dvd player going in!
Now debadged all round (except front 'ford' logo)
Engine bay will also be 'gunk'ed at the weekend to get it cleaner!
