i'm about to rebuild a GMC Chevrolet c 1500 Ext - 1988
The engine is a V8 - of course! It is a 5,7 Litre Chevy smallblock 350 and a 700 automatic gearbox and only rear wheel drive
And you probably wonder WHAT I'm about to do with a vehicle as big as a jumbojet....
At first, I'm gonna take care of the outside of the car. Right now i collect stuff to rebuild the body. Some parts are direct from United states, for example the new hood with a highrise-scopp, all made in steel
And new sidemirrors - from a chevrolet 454 SS
And the bumper at the rear end is full of rust so I'm gonna replace it with a smooth Rollpan
Next to my computur here at my home i got a full set of new rims - fully chromed 20 inch, and a lowering kitt that will lower the pickup 2 inch in front and 4 inch in rear
I'm not gonna lowering it anymore becouse some beautiful day i'm gonna tune the engine pretty much and then i don't wana smash into the groun when i have som fun at the streets...
I have some new parts for the engine also, a set of new headers. And in the future i hope i'm gonna get a supercharger or turbo.... Dont know yet becouse it's a long way there...
The color of the car will probably be as the headlines of this thread says - Shiny black and Hemi-orange

How much does the truck weigh, and are you going to reduce the weight? Also do you plan to race it then, or have it for show?
The weigh is about 2000 kilo but i'm gonna reduce the weight some time with a fiberglass board instead of steel...
both race and show i hope, it all depend on how much money i'm ready to spend on the engine and i't will take time - probably years before i tune the engine, sad but true...
The lowering-kitt is for sale... New plans... Now im gonna lift the body from the frame becouse i have ordered 33" high tires to my 20" wheels... Now we go big and fat instead of low and fat
