It's too bad they are not too popular outside some areas of Europe. The base engine is very good, we easily get horsepower out of the stock cylinder head.
holy.. 459 on the wheels, how does it handle on the road, meaning it's FWD? How do you get all that power to grip?
my tuner has put 657whp at his weekend marea, very similar setup. basically the car has good grip for FWD, we use LSD reinforced differential and the weight is very towards the front. It doesnt turn good but it gets good traction.
For street I use Advan a048 225/45/17 and for strip M/T 24.5x8 - 15

Goal is 600whp, we are to hit dyno tomorrow for tuning session with the 5 new 150lbh injectors on rail b.
Unfortunately the GT3582R Bearings died before making it to the dyno. :(
I am pretty broke right now and these turbos are VERY expensive here in Brazil (USD 3k+). What I have done is bought a Borg Warner S360, those are good for the price and should be able to make same amount of Horsepower. It's too bad they are not ball bearing but I believe it's the best spool I can get from journal bearing, which is rebuildable. Those GT35R's are just insanely expensive as you cant rebuild, center assembly is nearly same price as new turbo...
I am going to need to work the Turbine housing as it is a T4 inlet divid and my car is 5 cylinder so divided twin scroll doesn't work for me. I also don't have the turbo in Brazil yet, I am afraid of customs, last time they took away my Mickey Thompson tyres. So I am educating myself in that aspect so I can bring it in pay the fuckload of taxes and have it. It's still cheaper than here...
Once I am done I will give update, I am also afraid of the gearbox in this turbo, my friend had a s362 and made 657whp, but gearbox used to break all the time. Those boxes are expensive... I am going to try to use the Fuel Injection resource to try to make a more soft entry of the turbo by doing a boost curve. I don't know how fast the response will be though.
Pretty cool you have a Uno! Are you in Sweden? Fiats are cool base cars but not much people seem to tune them, I guess not hitting the U.S. market was pretty bad for them.
