Aside from the shenanigans on als videos, you can see, that a stock block evo8 running a gt3065r with meth/water injection on stock intercooler piping and stock intercooler can pull off 500whp on a dynojet tuned via flashed stock ecu and even stock injector as mentioned per al (although the idc must be out of this world). To attain similar numbers on a subaru you would have to get a larger turbo, a gt3582r or equivalent.

And thus the epic never-ending battle between which is better continues.

I was talking to a good friend of mine about a similar situation.

he had a bug-eye scooby, and spent horrendous amounts on it, but acheived 490bhp at the engine

he now has an evo6 which had a cat back system when he imported it. aswell as a makinen edition turbo (titanium housing). A ralliart ECU and a laptop plug, saw 380bhp at 10psi.

He also said the evo was much easier to drive fast, due to the active YAW, so Im acutally with you on the EVO vs Scooby argument, and heres another vote for the EVO!
