Nissan GT-R quicker than Bugatti Veyron

The Nissan GT-R has blitzed the Nürbürgring setting one of the fastest EVER lap times by a production car.

The Japanese supercar lapped the legendary 13.6 mile racetrack in just seven minutes 38 seconds – beating the £830,000 Bugatti Veyron by two seconds.

This ranks the Nissan GT-R as the 14th quickest round the daunting Nordschleife part of the circuit – which has 172 corners and was used for Formula One until 1976 before it was deemed to dangerous to compete on.

But the Nissan GT-R time is a way off the record - a six minute 55 seconds lap set by British sports car specialists Radical in its SR8.

The Nissan GT-R has been setting the motoring world alight with its awesome performance figures and value for money.

Using a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, the Nissan GT-R produces a colossal 480bhp and 433lb/ft of pulling power.

This helps rocket the Tokyo-based supercar from 0-62mph (100kph) in 3.8 seconds and on to a rumoured top speed of 192mph – making it a genuine rival to the Porsche 911 and Audi R8.

The Nissan GT-R is expected to go on sale in Spring 2008, with prices costing around £60,000.

Just love the new GTR mate ! And its a pretty impressive time for the GTR.
I wonder who will own the first car in sweden.

There is a big thread about this in the swedish section, to bad you dont understand it.

If the priceing is correct, i mean less than 100.000 euro at this high level of performance it will have some huge sales!!

I don't know too much about bikes, but this name above "Yamaha YZF-R1 superbike" is the regular R1 that you can buy from any dealership, or it is a tuned bike?
