Yeah I mean, its evident who going to win this one because ttv8 > everything else, but still, the way this wrx is keeping up with that cobra, I just had to give it props.

Had to break it to ya, but that wasnt an sti, the bug eye model year wrx's (which were 02-03 for us here in the states) were only wrx models rated at 227hp with the 2.0 litre motor. Some people import the jdm motors and drop them in them since they are built stronger and can rev higher, hell the sti ra englinge from japan has forged internals and can rev to 10k safely. We got the sti model when the newere facelift came in 04 with the 2.5 litre motor which was rated at 300hp/300tq, while the rest of the world got the high revving 2.0 motor....

Its a rice model WRX then as it has STi on the front light covers, grille and boot/tailgate

Yeah, people do that to get some of the jdm-ness we missed out on, but this one supposedly is the real deal, with a sti drivetrain swap, I've located and contacted the owner on nasoic (largest subaru board) and inquired about the car, no answer yet.
Yeah i understand, to be honest i dont think its too bad a thing, here we have an extreme form or ricer and its truly scary. Wholey 1 litre cars with bodykits on that probably hinder the car rather than make it better.
That one is truly quick though!

Yeah the owner got back to me, the car was pushing 440 horsepower at the wheels at that time running a jdm sti drivetrain swap, the cobra was on low boost. Pretty nice though.
