Vroooooom!
That was good, he is a talented driver for sure! nearly got caught out on Stage
7, Day 1 but he caught the arse end without too much trouble!
Very very nice car, and its funny that Colorade actually looks like North Yorkshire mooreland in England!
Thanks for that - Johnathan

The car sounds very tired. Nothing compared to wrc och group N.
What kind of rallyclass is he competing in? I didn´t find the info on the homepage.

i wasnt that impressed
the car was in the redline to long on corners, meaning he didnt set his gearing correctly to get the bset use of the engine, and his steering was all over the place, he key to rally is smooth flowing steering, not jerky out of control not sure what hes really doing type stuff, ive been out with pros in mk2 escorts and in wrx rally prepped scoobies, much smoother than that

Yeah agreed, but just what level is that rally at? Damian?
Its onviously not WRC
I think if that was not a professional series then it was bloody good, but if its even semi professional they still drove pretty well. I bet those things are hard enough to set up too.

I very much doubt this was anything compared to the wrc or professional. These were just individuals/shops competing in something they enjoy to do with hope of future propfessional advancement. It wasn't no wrc car , but I think it was damned well built. The gear ratios, Id think would be most likely stock since custom ratio transes are big $$$. You guys in europe get this wrx as a wrx while we just get it as a non turbo 2.5 rs (the first factory turbocharged subaru impreza wrx premiered back in mid-2001 as a 2002 model here in the states boasting a modest 227hp , after subaru pulled that out, mitsubishi brought out the evo8 here right in the begging of 2003 as a 2003 model, it was also cross promotoed by the 2 fast 2 furious movie which also debuted mid-03 but the was funded in a way by mitsu since bought of the main characters' cars were mitsus, one a evo7 and one a eclipse 2000-2005 bodystyle. Get this though, while your lancer evo badges are followed by a number destinating the body code, ours just says "lancer evolution", mitsu probably didnt want us big/fat/stupid/ignorant americans wondering where why we didn't receive the previous 7 versions of the car, just a lil history from our side of the pond, fyi) I wouldnt be surprised if what they did was a jdm motor/trans swap to it and called it a day while focusing on the suspension.

I liked the vids, i thought that for a set of rally drivers who are clearly not world/professional standard and noting that you said these shops were preparring the cars themselves, i though that was very impressive!
Those are clearly pretty demanding stages, and they do drive them very well. I agree with Anton that as far as really serious drivers and cars go it may not be as fluid as it could be, but holy hell they do drive well! As also mentioned i think that setting a car up for wet gravel & semi dry conditions on the same stage is very very tricky ... i know i could not do it!!
I would love to see more of this stuff, homegrown motorsport is what it should all be about!!
