AMS Monster evo

This car was brought to us by a customer and close friend of hours Tommy passalaqua. Tommy's EVO was already quite the force to be reckoned with. Making over 600 whp in its earlier trim.

That wasn't enough for Tommy, He wanted to go fast....REALLY fast his goal was to build a car for the Bonneville salt flat races and Texas standing mile here in the state. We had quite the game plan to achieve this. The following are a series of pics of the custom build we are doing for tommy in his quest for 230mph!

First here is how the car was delivered to us

The wheels and tires on the car now are NOT what will be run on the salt flats, you are required to run very special compound tires and sealed wheels. we have not fitted those on yet as its not really that critical right now

The cage is positioned that way based on Bonneville regulations. The cooler has been used for years. its the most efficient way of storing the ice water for the air to water intercooler. Since the distance is long and weight is not a HUGE concern in a salt flat car we went with a fairly large cooler.

the cooler in our drag car has gone 8.56 and 171 mph in the 1/4... one fast ass cooler.

BTW yes the two valves are for nitrogen...but again those wheels are not being used.

Here are some new pictures of the the work done today on the wastegate and the downpipe.

Hoho, lagom rå Evo det där.
Inget man skulle vilja ha och pendla med varje dag men den fyller antagligen sitt syfte på bästa sätt.
