Forza Motorsport 4 Community Shapes Challenge

Create the shape you always wanted in the Forza Motorsport Livery Editor.

Have you ever been painting in the Forza livery editor and had the feeling that if you just had that “certain shape”, your job would be much easier? Perhaps you want to see a certain background image, or have that perfect piece for doing hair.

Here’s your chance to make those wishes come true; we are turning to the Forza community to create shapes that they would like to see in the Forza Motorsport 4 livery editor. A select number of winning shapes will be included in Forza Motorsport 4 as part of a special “community” tab in the livery editor.

HOW TO ENTER

Using a commercially available vector graphics editor, create a shape design that you feel would add value to the Forza Motorsport livery editor.

Shapes may have gradients but must NOT include multiple colors. (See graphic below)

All shapes must be saved in EPS format.

All entries must be e-mailed to forzafb@microsoft.com by March 31, 2011, any emails received after that date will not be eligible.
E-mails must include “COMMUNITY LIVERY SHAPE CHALLENGE” in the subject field of the submission e-mail. Failure to do so will result in your entry not being included in the final judging.

All entries must include a short paragraph explaining how their shape would be used in the livery editor.

An entered shape must be your original creation and must not include copyrighted, trademarked, or previously published material, including brand names/logos, including Xbox, ForzaMotorsports.net, and Turn 10. Shapes requiring license or usage rights from any third party are not eligible. Submissions cannot defame or invade the rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any third party's personal, proprietary, or intellectual rights. Submissions must be suitable for audiences of all ages.

By submitting an entry, you represent and warrant that the entry submitted is your original creation.

Entries may NOT contain any content that:

* is sexually explicit, unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic;
* promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco (or the use of any of the foregoing) or a particular political agenda;
* defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies;
* contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress owned by others
* contains copyrighted materials owned by others and;
* contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, or other indicia identifying any person (other than a member of your family or community for whom you have received consent) including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead);
* contains look-alikes of celebrities or other public or private figures, living or dead;
* Communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will to which we wish to associate; and/or violates any law;

We reserve the right to investigate and verify, conditionally reject, or reject outright any entry that does not meet the above criteria or any terms and conditions in these rules.
JUDGING CRITERIA AND SELECTION

The Turn 10 Community Team will review each shape and select the shapes deemed to have met the submission criteria the best.

Entries will be evaluated for originality, creativity, usefulness and graphic quality. In the event of shape similarity, the shape that was received first will obtain a higher score for Originality, but the Usefulness score will still rely on how well the shape is explained.

Potential winners may be notified on or about March 31, 2011 by e-mail to the e-mail address from which the submitted shape was sent.

ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS/PUBLICITY RELEASE

All entries become the property of the Turn 10 and will not be returned.
